Banksia Vessels

The Banksia nut a wildflower from Australia,which  was first discovered by Sir Joseph Banks who was a botanist part of Captain Cook's crew. I fell in love with the material, the organic shape, the fur and the embritled texture.This led me to exploring with the complextities of the material, to create theses Banksia vessels which is an embodiment of embracing the material and staying true to form and features, rather than focusing on creating a refined piece.
